PittWCS is a club-level sport at the University of Pittsburgh, holding membership within Pitt Club Sports and certification through Student Organization Resource Center (SORC). PittWCS is comprised of female University of Pittsburgh students, freshman through graduate level. The team consists of students from a wide variety of academics areas, including pre-med, nursing, engineering, political science, business, marketing, studio arts, etc. PittWCS is overall a tight knit family, supporting each other both on and off the field.
PittWCS currently competes within the National Intramural-Recreational Sports Association (NIRSA), encompassing women's college club soccer teams from across the United States. Within NIRSA, PittWCS is located in Region 1, which is made up of teams from as northeast as Maine continuing down to Maryland. Within Region 1, PittWCS is a member of the Pennsylvania West Conference. The Pennsylvania West Conference includes Penn State University, Indiana University of PA, Messiah College, West Virginia University, Slippery Rock University, Bloomsburg University, Dickinson College, Bucknell University, Carnegie Mellon University, California University of PA, Robert Morris University, and Millersville University.
PittWCS season primarily takes place during fall semesters and the team usually practices 2-3 nights per week. During the fall season, the team is required to play 6 league games, which are often scheduled as round robins. These games require the team to travel frequently on weekends. Although PittWCS is able to receive some funding through the University's Student Government Board and various team fundraisers, players are required to pay annual dues to further cover the cost of travel and other team expenses.

- 2010 "Club Sports Team of the Year" recipient at the University of Pittsburgh Red Carpet Blue Stars awards
- Received "Sportsmanship Award" at 2011 National tournament
- Won the Region 1 tournament in 2012, 2013, and 2014
- Received a bid to Nationals in 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, and 2015
- Ranked within the top 16 women's college club soccer teams in the country after Nationals 2015
- 2016 "Club Sports Organization of the Year" recipient at the University of Pittsburgh Red Carpet Blue Stars awards

PittWCS looks for players with strong soccer skills that would overall benefit the team. PittWCS annually participates in the University of Pittsburgh Fall Activities Fair, allowing interested students to learn more about the team and sign-up for try-outs.
